Featuring submissions from local filmmakers; a program of shorts from Kino Louisville, Kino Trois-Rivières, and the Montréal Fall 2005 Kabaret; and kickoff of the kabaret with the announcement of the secret ingredient. The November theme is: Make a film with one shot/no cuts. The secret ingredient for the 48-hour kabaret was: Impossible Dream.
During the Kabaret, the Kino Lab was available for all participants. The filmmaking process is all about collaboration and, to help that along and make things more fun, Wis-Kino sets up a Kino Lab during the Kabaret. The Kino Lab is a public place where everyone participating in the Kabaret is invited to bring their equipment, work on their film, and help other filmmakers with their films. It is a secure location, so participants can set up equipment in advance and leave it there during the course of the 48-hour event. The Fall 2005 Kino Lab is at the WYOU Community Television station (609 E. Washington Ave., Madison). To use WYOU production and editing equipment during the course of the Kabaret, be sure to join (the membership fee is modest, but only members can use WYOU resources). Contact wis-kino for information on setting up equipment in advance.
